HOW DOES IT WORK?
We are all influenced by the Power of Light. Light has many positive effects on our bodies. It helps us to produce essential vitamin D, triggers growth, promotes wellbeing, and makes our skin glow. Phototherapy occurs naturally all around us and is based on the principle that our cells absorb light and use it to fuel natural rejuvenation and repair processes. Different wavelengths stimulate different effects on the skin. We know that ongoing exposure to UV light is very damaging but controlled levels of Red, Blue and Near Infrared light are clinically proven to be beneficial. A celebrity skincare favourite, Dermalux® LED Phototherapy is the application of these beneficial wavelengths into the skin’s deepest layers to energise our cells with proven rejuvenating results. Skin cells that are energised function better and can regenerate up to 200% faster which in turn leads to a more youthful, healthy, and radiant complexion. Dermalux® LED Phototherapy delivers skin-specific treatments using combinations of clinically proven Blue, Red, and Near Infrared wavelengths to boost collagen and elastin production, improve circulation, reduce redness and irritation, and blitz blemish-causing bacteria. Utilising the latest generation LED technology, Dermalux® ensures safe and targeted delivery of light at the optimum intensity for maximum skin enhancing results. There are, of course, different intensities of LED now readily available on the market. As our reputation suggests, at The Look by Louise Skin Health Clinic®, we only use high end, FDA approved, medical-grade machinery to carry out your skin treatments, hence our partnership with Dermalux® Our video below gives a detailed description.
DERMALUX BLUE LIGHT
Blemish fighting blue light targets bacteria in the sebaceous glands which causes spots. When bacteria absorb blue light it triggers a natural photochemical reaction releasing singlet oxygen. Singlet oxygen has a powerful antibacterial action to help eliminate spots whilst being gentle on the skin. With continued use, this clarifying effect can help in the prevention of breakouts. Anti-bacterial action Treats spots without irritation Improves skin clarity Calming effect for problem skin
DERMALUX RED LIGHT
Rejuvenating Red light supercharges our cell energy, triggering a cascade of skin-enhancing effects. Accelerating cell renewal, boosting collagen and elastin synthesis, and increasing hydration levels for a smoother, more youthful, and revitalised complexion. Boosts collagen and elastin production Reduces fine lines and wrinkles Increases hydration Evens skin tone and texture Revitalises and restores radiance
Dermalux® Near infrared light and its benefits
Regenerating Near-infrared light is absorbed in the skin’s deepest layers and stimulates skin cell activity with advanced rejuvenation benefits. Increased blood circulation brings vital oxygen and nutrients to accelerate repair, calm irritation, and build strength and integrity for sensitive skin conditions.
